Gender Reveal Effects
Tasmania

Pink or blue smoke, coloured sparks and confetti — fired safely by licensed operators so the only surprise is the colour.

Do it properly

A reveal worth filming — done safely

Gender reveals have caused wildfires and injuries interstate. Doing it with a licensed operator costs less than you think and removes the risk entirely.

MaxFX supplies gender reveal effects across Tasmania — dense pink or blue smoke plumes, coloured spark fountains, confetti cannons and cold sparks, set up and fired by trained crew with a risk assessment and public liability cover.

We work with your photographer or videographer on positioning, wind direction and timing, because a reveal that blows the smoke into the camera is a reveal you can't watch back.

We deliver gender reveal effects in Hobart, Launceston and regional Tasmania, adapting the setup to private properties, function venues and outdoor celebration spaces.

Reveal Sequences

A short programmed sequence — smoke, then sparks, then confetti — timed to a song so the reveal builds instead of just happening.

FAQ

Gender reveal questions

Are gender reveal fireworks legal in Tasmania?

Professional coloured smoke, sparks and confetti effects fired by a licensed operator are fine at approved sites. What you can't do is buy consumer fireworks outside the Cracker Night permit system and set them off yourself. We bring licensed operators, insurance and a risk assessment.

Can we do a gender reveal indoors?

Yes — confetti and cold spark fountains are indoor-safe with venue approval. Coloured smoke is an outdoor effect because of the volume it produces and fire detection systems inside.

Will the effects be a fire risk on dry Tasmanian grass?

That's exactly why we assess the site. During dry or elevated fire-danger conditions we'll select low-risk effects, wet down the area, position away from dry fuel, and carry suppression equipment — or recommend rescheduling if conditions are unsafe.

How long does the effect last?

Smoke plumes typically run 30 to 60 seconds, which is plenty for photos and video. Sparks and confetti are shorter bursts, which is why we often sequence them together for a longer moment.

Can you keep the result secret from us?

Yes. Send the result straight to us from your sonographer or a trusted third party and we'll load the colours discreetly — nobody at the party, including the parents, needs to know.
