Lighting & Laser
Production Tasmania

Beams, pixels, colour and laser fans — designed and programmed so your lighting rig hits the same beat as the fireworks.

Lighting production Tasmania

Lighting designed as part of the show, not bolted on

Our lighting designer programs to your music the same way we program fireworks — cue by cue, against timecode.

MaxFX delivers event lighting and laser production across Tasmania for festivals, concerts, corporate events, civic celebrations and weddings. Moving heads for movement, pixel and strobe for energy, architectural washes to make the venue itself part of the design, and laser displays for the moments that need to feel impossible.

Because the same crew owns the pyrotechnics, lasers, effects and audio, your lighting is never fighting the rest of the show for attention. It's all one design, one operator language, one timeline.

Infrastructure

Laser shows

Laser displays that finish what the fireworks started

Lasers do something fireworks can't: they carve the air. Run through haze, a laser fan gives you razor-sharp beams, tunnels and mid-air shapes that move on the beat — and they are ideal for indoor venues and sites where aerial pyro isn't an option.

Full-colour laser projectors

Aerial beams, tunnels and mid-air effects

Logo, text and graphic projection

Timecoded with lighting, pyro and audio

Laser safety assessment and supervision

Haze systems included for beam definition

FAQ

Lighting and laser questions

Do you do laser shows in Tasmania?

Yes — laser displays are part of our lighting department rather than a separate service. We run full-colour laser projectors for aerial beam work, mid-air effects through haze, audience-scanning displays where approved, and logo or text projection, all with the required safety controls and operator supervision.

Can lasers be scanned over the audience?

Audience-scanning is possible but tightly controlled — it requires reduced power levels, verified beam calculations and specific safety measures. We assess your venue and either deliver compliant audience effects or design an aerial-only show that still looks enormous.

Can lighting be synchronised with the fireworks?

That's exactly why clients book both with us. Lighting, lasers, effects and pyro all run from the same timecode, so a firework burst can land on a blackout and a laser sweep can pick up the smoke trail afterwards.

Do you provide power and rigging as well?

Yes. Max is a licensed electrical contractor as well as a pyrotechnician, so temporary power distribution, generators, cabling and ground-support truss are handled in-house with proper certification.

Will lasers and lighting work outdoors in daylight?

Lasers and beam effects need darkness and some atmospheric haze to read properly, so they belong in an evening slot. For daytime events we lean on staging, architectural colour and effects like confetti and CO₂ instead.
