Fireworks Launceston
Displays designed for Launceston sites and approvals
Our home base. Same-day site visits across Launceston, the Tamar Valley and the northern midlands.
Launceston is home. Our workshop is in Newnham, which means fireworks in Launceston get same-week site visits, faster turnarounds and a crew that already knows the councils, venues and firing positions across the north.
We fire everything here — community celebrations, agricultural shows, sporting club events, corporate launches, private property displays across the Tamar Valley and northern midlands, and indoor effects at Launceston’s function centres and theatres. And because our lighting, laser and audio inventory lives in the same building, adding production to a display costs far less than bringing in a second supplier.

FAQ
Fireworks in Launceston — common questions
Do you need council approval for fireworks in Launceston?
Launceston displays may involve the City of Launceston or another northern council, together with the venue or landowner and emergency-service notifications. Requirements still change with the site, shell sizes and proximity to housing, roads and airspace. MaxFX prepares and lodges the required documentation as part of your booking.
How much notice do you need for a Launceston display?
Six to twelve weeks is comfortable for public events because approvals and notifications take time. Indoor special effects and private displays can often be arranged faster. If your date is tight, call us — we'll be honest about whether it's achievable.
Can you do indoor effects at Launceston venues?
Yes. Cold spark fountains, CO₂ jets, confetti, low fog and close-proximity stage pyro are all indoor-rated with venue approval, which we obtain for you along with the risk assessment and insurance certificates.
Does being based in Launceston make site visits easier?
Yes. Our Newnham base lets us inspect Launceston, Tamar Valley and northern midlands sites quickly and keeps local transport costs down.
